992 programme

A settled design on a modern base, built to order.

[Two paragraphs: the intent of the programme, what it seeks from a modern base, and what sets it apart from a classic preparation.]

Where the 911 line works classic bases and configures widely, the 992 programme starts from a settled design on a contemporary automobile. The frame is tighter, the build faster, everyday use taken for granted.

What a modern base makes possible

[Two paragraphs to be written: what made us want to work on the 992, and the moment the drawing settled.]

The 992 arrives with a contemporary chassis, everyday reliability and mechanical potential beyond anything an older base can offer. The work of the House is not to age it: it is to give it the drawing it was missing.

The standard 992, before any work

A reading, not an escalation

The programme is not trying to make a faster 992. It is trying to make a 992 that says something: reworked proportions, widened tracks, a body language of its own.

[What proved hardest to settle in the drawing, and why. This is the paragraph that separates a programme from a body kit.]

Design research on the 992

The 992 programme

The body design is settled: it is what makes the programme, and it is not negotiable. The proportions, the track widths, the mechanical architecture chosen and the interior identity are part of it.

What stays open: colour, wheels, interior materials. That limit is not a constraint; it is what holds the coherence from one example to the next.

Every example carries its own number and is the subject of a dedicated design record.

designed and rendered, no example built to date

This programme has not been built yet

You are looking at renders. No example exists to date, and we would rather say so here than let you find out at the first meeting.

What we can show, on the other hand, are the automobiles we have actually designed, built and delivered. A drawing states an intention; they state a capability.
